How does it work?

What if I forget the password?

You won't be able to open the file. We store nothing and cannot recover it — save it in a password manager.

Which encryption is used?

The PDF standard's AES encryption, supported by every modern reader.

How strong are permission limits?

Print and copy restrictions are a flag readers respect; they are not as strong as an open password. Use a password for real protection.

Can I edit it later?

Yes, if you know the password — remove it first, then work on the file.
