Can I rotate only some pages?

This tool applies one angle to all pages. Use the page editor in the app for per-page angles.

How is this different from rotating in a viewer?

A viewer rotation is local to you and isn't saved. This writes the orientation into the document.

Does the file size change?

Barely. Page content isn't re-processed; only the rotation flag changes.

Is there automatic straightening?

Yes, the app's auto-rotate tool reads text direction and fixes pages by itself.
